Brand Voice

Root & Bloom Studio, a wellness brand focused on mindfulness and personal growth, needed a distinct voice that reflected its mission; gentle, grounded, and nurturing. The challenge was crafting a brand voice that could scale across platforms while feeling authentic and emotionally resonant.

My Role: 

I led the brand voice development, including tone discovery, messaging strategy, and copywriting frameworks. I also developed foundational phrases and a tone map to guide future writers and collaborators.

 

Process: 

I started by identifying brand pillars through a discovery session with the founder. From there, I developed a tone guide featuring voice traits (e.g., calm but clear, gentle but confident), do/don’t writing rules, and example phrases for headlines, social captions, and packaging. Tagline concepts and sample web copy helped bring the voice to life visually.

Results or Reflection:

Root & Bloom now has a consistent, intentional voice that guides how the brand communicates online and in print. It brought clarity not just to the language, but to the founder’s overall vision. This project reminded me how impactful tone can be in building trust and identity especially for wellness brands rooted in care
