High School
This High School wanted to strengthen communication between parents and teachers by providing clear guidance on how to initiate and maintain meaningful interactions. The goal was to design a warm, informative email that would encourage proactive collaboration, especially at the start of the school year. The challenge was making the content approachable, actionable, and visually aligned with the school’s "Think Differently" brand message.
My Role:
I designed the email layout and visual flow, developed the headline hierarchy, and optimized the formatting for mobile readability. I also contributed to the content structure by helping refine the tone and call-to-action strategy to improve engagement.
Process:
The email design began with a strong banner image to immediately communicate the theme; connection and care in the classroom. The headline “Creating a Positive Teacher & Parent Relationship” was paired with a bright call-to-action button for visibility. Below that, I structured the copy into short, digestible paragraphs with a friendly greeting, helpful links, and a closing message from a trusted educator to create a sense of authority and warmth. The footer incorporated district branding with the “Think Differently” tagline for consistency.
Results or Reflection:
The final design provided parents with a helpful, encouraging message they could quickly engage with on their phones or desktops. It supported the school’s goals of increasing collaboration and building trust. This project highlighted how intentional design and communication can bridge gaps between educators and families, reinforcing a shared commitment to student success.
